Privacy Policy

Data stored locally on your device:

WaterVamp stores the following data exclusively on your device using AsyncStorage:

• Daily water intake entries (amounts and timestamps)
• Your daily hydration goal (in ml or oz)
• App settings (theme, language, fill style, unit preference)
• Reminder schedules (times and enabled/disabled status)
• Achievement unlock status and streak counts
• Onboarding completion status

None of this data is transmitted to us or to any external server. It lives on your device and stays there.

Data collected by third parties:

We use the following third-party services that may collect data independently:

• RevenueCat — processes in-app purchases for the Sang Royal subscription. RevenueCat may collect purchase identifiers and entitlement status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — handles payment processing. Subject to their respective privacy policies.
• Expo Notifications — used for scheduled reminders. Push notification tokens may be processed locally; no data is sent to Anthropic or any analytics service.

Since we don't collect personal data ourselves, this section is refreshingly short. The locally stored data is used exclusively to:

• Display your daily water intake progress
• Calculate streaks and achievement progress
• Schedule and display reminders
• Apply your appearance and language preferences
• Verify your Sang Royal subscription status (via RevenueCat)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the App.

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Payment processors — RevenueCat and the App Stores receive purchase information to process and validate your subscription.
• Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information to the extent required. (Though since we don't store your data, there's not much to disclose.)

All app data is stored on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App. You can also clear all data from within the App's Settings screen at any time.

We do not maintain any server-side copies of your data, so there is no need to request deletion from us. Uninstall the App and the data is gone — like a vampire in sunlight.

WaterVamp uses local push notifications to remind you to drink water. You can enable or disable notifications at any time from the Reminders tab or your device's system settings. We do not use push notifications for marketing purposes.

WaterVamp is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at watervamp@proton.me and we will take appropriate action.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's own security measures (passcode, Face ID, etc.). We recommend keeping your device OS and apps updated.

For subscription data handled by RevenueCat and the App Stores, industry-standard encryption and security practices are applied by those third parties.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Right to access — You can view all your data directly in the App at any time.
• Right to erasure — Uninstall the App or use the "Clear Data" option in Settings. Done.
• Right to portability — Your data is on your device; you have full control.
• Right to opt out — Disable notifications or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.

For any data held by RevenueCat, please refer to their privacy policy and contact them directly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
